Berewick is a new, master-planned community spanning several miles in Southwest Charlotte in the historic Steele Creek area off of Hwy 160 and I-485. The community features a collection of several residential villages with multiple, single family track homebuilders. Berewick’s new town center will include 750 additional townhomes and apartments, retail shops, offices, restaurants and a new Elementary school. Amenities include a clubhouse, tennis courts and walking trails and parks. Charlotte homes range from the high $100,000’s to $500,000.
Today Steele Creek is served by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. CMS schools in Steele Creek including Olympic High Schools (5), Kennedy Middle School, Southwest Middle School, Lake Wylie Elementary School, Steele Creek Elementary School, and Winget Park Elementary.The number of CMS elementary schools in Steele Creek will soon double with the opening of three new facilities in 2009 and 2010. These yet-unnamed schools are located in the Berewick, Hamilton/Smith, and Palisades neighborhoods.
